Preview a spare mic and/or quickly swap between two microphones on two different channels with the SoundTools Mic Swapper. A simple, all-analog rotary switch utilizes make before break technology to seamlessly swap inputs from one channel to another. The Mic Swapper is a versatile device for stage, studio, or business environments.
Simply plug in two microphones into the "1" and "2" inputs and the "A" and "B" into your console and easily swap between them by rotating the make before you break rotary switch. The Mic Swapper utilizes a low noise "make before break" switch though it is not silent and a click or pop may be heard. For most applications the pop is not an issue but for critical uses, muting the channels before swapping is recommended
What is a low noise switch?
The Mic Swapper is designed for the lowest noise possible when swapping. In most applications, there is no audible sound while swapping. Applying a mute before swapping is recommended in some applications, primarily where phantom power is supplied or on a wireless signal.
